Boeing Insitu successfully implement Aras within 60 days
Boeing Insitu (wholly owned subsidiary of Boeing) purchased Siemens Teamcenter in 2009 to implement enterprise PLM with configuration and change management. The implementation commitment from Siemens was 6 months. By late 2010, they had spent over $1.4M and did not have any functionality operational. There was mounting pressure from their largest customer, US Navy, to get configuration and change control implemented.
In early 2011, Boeing Insitu stopped the Teamcenter project and switched to Aras. Within 60 days they had configuration and change implemented successfully and they are now moving to additional processes including program management, quality management, tooling and more.
